- service + lexicon that enables verified linked account claims with attestation - sign into verification service with your atproto handle - oauth into third-party services - signed attestation written to your repo - apps can trust links w/ one xrpc call to verifier #atdev #stealmyideaFeb 4, 2026 22:43
- there’s alsoKnownAs but that requires bidirectional linking which existing services are unlikely to adopt seems like it could be a cool @lexicon.community thing 😉
- Yep this is very doable, @atwork.place has the basics of this for user to user attestations. Other than the tech flow, can you talk more about the use case, what you personally want to unlock with this?
- hacking on an atproto app that aggregates discord + github activity. i'll need to verify the handles anyway, but it feels wrong to silo it behind my app's lexicon when it's info most social apps use. generic lexicon would mean users don't do profile backlinks from scratch, just select which to show.
- atproto's interop is great inside the atmosphere, but this has the potential to enable apps that reach outside it. a trusted identity bridge that allows us to pull relevant public activity from where it already lives (for the few apps that still expose a public api, at least)
