what i liked most about about graffiti was learning new reasons to respect a drawing. it’s not always about being technically good, sometimes it’s cool because an absolute batshit mess of a person did it in weird location. and it looks like shit. but wow, amazing.

Graffiti and vandalism is more organic or naturally occurs in comparison to murals. Most prolific writers would call themselves a vandal before they'd let someone call them an artist,which is fine,since like you said,the medium is the message.
