I’ve never seen anybody question the attributed Borderline Personality Disorder that Edward Teach supposedly fits, and it’s only showing to me how erased the other PDs are on the internet, or in general.
When PDs are a spectrum and most of them overlap into a mess of symptoms, I think it would be
i’ve questioned it before! if i’m real looking at ed i see something similar to the CPTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum combo i have going on (which tbf is like the perfect starting point for developing, like, any personality disorder)
i think ppl get the BPD read mainly from his intense emotions and intense reaction to rejection which is interesting bc you would get the same reaction with NPD and other PDs
i think NPD maps not him super well ! but most ppl don’t really know how to talk abt personality disorders imo, and they Really don’t know how to talk about NPD, especially w any sort of empathy, so i’m not surprised ppl haven’t explored that avenue 🥲
I’m so glad to find like minded people, I was honestly expecting hate or NPD hate like usually, but it’s always nice to see educated people’s take on conversations that require nuances. :)) (also I just noticed the answer I’m not much on bsky)
