You know, I've never seen Requiem but I unfortunately saw "mother!" which is seriously one of the worst flims I've ever seen in a theatre, so this is cementing an opinion of Darren that was already preeeetty low.
I've seen (yesterday) his debut film, Pi.
It takes ALL of its expressive language directly from a specific single film, Tetsuo.
I know that if I haven't seen Tetsuo, Pi would feel impressive.
And I know that the vast majority of Pi's intended audience (people in the 90s US) haven't had the chance.
