There's a clear path forward:
1. Quickly pass the other 5 spending bills before the Friday night deadline & keep government open.
2. Separate out the DHS bill & work on common sense steps to rein in ICE and CBP.
Senate Democrats are ready to get it done. Republicans must join us.

Please take a hard line to not fund ICE, or maybe even DHS, without revoking most of the funding handed toward their massive expansion last spring. We don't need Brown Shirts. ICE was always a bad idea. Defund and Abolish must be the goal.
You're halfway there. Step one, yes. Step two, just a big ol' NO. There's no working to reform, there are no guardrails they'll honour. Kill it with fire.
