I've seen a lot of terms thrown around for what the Trump admin is doing w/ICE, CBP, & other federal law enforcement (LE). The now largely out of use term is state terror. 1/

- I'm trying to find a good term for this. Temu Fascism? Retro-colonialism? But I know there's a better term for it ...hmm... it's something to do with a color and some kind of word akin to "superiority." It's right on the tip of my tongue. It will come to me in a second.
- Danish media report that the Greenlandic-Danish delegation expressed relief after meeting w/ Rubio and Vance. As I have said all along, an invasion is not possible - the U.S. is already the biggest military force in Greenland. It's political theater on both sides to improve negotiating positions.
- You can say what you want about those NATO troops, but their snow camo is really excellent!
- FFS. It is technically impossible for the U.S. to invade Greenland, because the U.S. already has a larger military presence there than anyone. Personnel count: U.S. base, Pituffik: 150. Danish military: 94. While I appreciate Senator Murphy's video, I just wish people would remember this.

- AI, like all computing, is electrons passing through silicon. Unlike humans, AIs need a steady current supply from humans to do the most basic processing. They will never be human-equivalent for that reason alone. Those of us who study AI in society need to keep insisting on this framing.
- I'm binging Homeland as a way to take my mind off the doings of the Temu Fascists and reminisce about better days gone by. Only around season 5 have I realized how absurd the above sentence is.
