  • Day 1: First FF - Final Fantasy VI (though it was 3 at the time in the states). It was a game I loved to suck at. I dont think I beat it til the GBA remake.
    • Day 1, First FF - Final Fantasy 1 on the NES (yes, I am old). I was very little and don't think I fully got was going on but it still stands out to me. That damn rat's tail. (alt text included)

  • Day 2: Favorite Final Fantasy - Final Fantasy XII. While its gameplay hasn’t aged the best, the fully customizable party and AI was fun to tool around with, the setting is visually distinct while still hitting regular touchstones, and I enjoy the FFT/FFTA touches.

  • Day 3: Worst Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy XIII. I’ve been assured that there’s a good game in there somewhere, but after several hours of walking a straight line broken up by a battle system that felt like the worst of all worlds and characters I disliked I gave up.

Day 12: Favorite White Mage Porom from IV. I liked the kids as siblings and though their story ends badly, they're pretty great and active characters.

  • When Johnson talks about loving the people on the inside, hes not talking about Americans. Hes talking about loving the people in the Epstien class.
    • Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture? MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.
