- Reposted by Michele NeylonThe CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions! This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/t...

- Reposted by Michele Neylon🗓️ Exactly three weeks ago #Iran imposed a national internet blackout to obscure civilian killings. Whitelisting and heavy filtering are still in effect. The incident is among the most severe of its kind on record, exceeded in duration only during civil war in Myanmar and Sudan.
- Reposted by Michele NeylonAuschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

- Plus ça change ... January 2026 and there's two domain scams doing the rounds and neither of them is novel! www.internetnews.me/2026/01/19/...
- Looks like the scammers from IDS Ireland are back at it again. If you're an Irish SME be careful - their emails look quite plausible I wrote about them a few years ago: www.internetnews.me/2019/11/13/...
- Cutting off an entire country from the Internet is just plain wrong: www.einpresswire.com/article/882...
