- A couple years ago, a young woman sitting across from me on the LIRR made an appointment with a new doctor. I learned her - name - address - phone number - social security number. When she finished and I told her that was crazy to do on a crowded train, she was confused as to why.

- I'm out of market, and when my area's blacked out the app won't play the audio for me, so I would go to WGR's website to listen. How's that going to work now, out of town fans just don't get *any* live coverage of the game?

- Reposted by mjfrombuffaloJust got gassed pretty good at the labor union anti-ICE protest in Portland. Massive march, 5-10k strong. Vibes were very much liberal rather than radical. Lots of kids and older folks. They gassed the whole crowd as soon as it marched on ICE, in broad daylight.

- Reposted by mjfrombuffaloI can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
- The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
