About 98 percent. Even people who take transit will admit after gentle probing that if isn’t as dangerous as others think it is.
Dec 27, 2025 17:04A lot of it is definitely a perception - not to say we shouldn’t be doing more to make transit an appealing option! It’s all about how we measure risk, experience consequences, the level of control we feel, etc. Daily riders seemed less concerned about safety than irregular users.
