- One of a series of cotton goods Shippers Tickets - labels designed by Manchester artist Karl Hagedorn for Overmann Ltd & printed in Oldham by Albinson's & seen in Commercial Art 1925. This was the year the artist won a Grand Prix at the Paris Exposition for these ephemeral items. flic.kr/p/2rVeRRH
- OTD, 6 February in 1875 architect Leslie Green was born. Best recalled for the #London Tube stations of 1906/7 for the Underground Group's 3 new tube lines. They are of a generic design, clad in ox-blood Burmantofts faience. Original drawings for Strand/Aldwych station ↘️ flic.kr/p/2km3etL

- A hint of summer on a grey winter's day : c.1924/5 poster by Gregory Brown, one of a series issued by Bobby's, the drapers & departmental stores owner who at the time commissioned some noted artists & designers for their publicity. Brown was well known for his LNER posters. ↘️ flic.kr/p/2rV7bxt

- A remarkably Vorticist press advert for Vim - Lever Bros. scouring powder with 'mighty atoms whizzing away dirt' - from 1924/25. It's by noted artist & designer Edward McKnight Kauffer whose first break came with commissions from the London Underground in post-WW1 years. flic.kr/p/2rUXjzT

- Slightly weird to think that this was nearly 50 years ago; farewell trip for #Edinburgh last conventional crew operated bus in Oct 1980 when ASC 665B, built in 1964, was part of the Lothian fleet.
