- Since the game 7 when Gabe Vincent accidentally on purpose sprained Jayson Tatum's ankle, the Celtics are now 9-1 vs. the Heat, plus 4-1 in their one playoff series. The basketball gods were not amused, Gabe.

- Did someone say Celtics needed a 12-point run? And now the deficit is 5.
- Not for anything, but mid-3rd quarter in Detroit, the Knicks are down 28.
- Reality is the Heat are having an average game offensively. Shooting 46% with 7 made threes for 54 points is nothing special. The fact that they led by 21 at the half reflects how brutally bad the Celtics were. But there's still plenty of time to straighten this out.

- Celtics are grinding it out and outplaying an excellent team on their own floor. Can't let up in Q4 because, especially after that end to Q3, count on the refs to give the Rockets every benefit of the doubt.

- Tonight the Celtics need to shoot well and get some favorable calls. So far they've gotten the opposite. But they're in gritty mode and you gotta love that.
- Poor judgement by Ime on the challenge. Hard to believe.
- Ron Harper, Jr. has appeared in 18 NBA games, totaling 104 minutes. Tonight he gets the first start of his NBA career -- what an opportunity! LFG young man.
- James Harden has been teammates with… Westbrook Durant Chris Paul Kawhi Embiid Paul George Kyrie …but has been in the Finals just once — and that was 14 years ago. Don’t get too excited yet, Cleveland.
- Vucevic’s career stats suggest his versatility is similar to that of Al Horford, maybe with not as much defense but a little more offense. I’m disappointed to see Simons go, but conventional NBA wisdom says you can’t go wrong trading a guard for a big. In Brad we trust.
