- Spiral Galaxy NGC 1512: Wide Field apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap26020... Most galaxies don't have any rings -- why does this galaxy have three? To begin, a ring that's near NGC 1512's center -- and so hard to see here -- is the nuclear ring which glows brightly with recently formed stars

- A wicked cold Tuxis Island sunrise this morning. According to Algonquin Native American legend, a giant named Odziozo formed the island (“Tuxisshoag” or “Tuckshishoag" in native language) when he scooped up rocks from the mainland and flung them into the Long Island Sound. Madison, CT.
