i did see izzy dying coming but reassured myself that this was a kind show that liked to subvert expectations and certainly life would begin again,
like an idiot, i believed the last episode of my favorite show (allegedly a rom com) wouldn't leave me feeling sad & stupid for having had hope
I guess Im a naive baby because I didnt see Izzy dying coming. I foolishly thought the story would be Good
Really though. I was absolutely sure that the ENTIRE POINT OF THE SHOW was that even Izzy deserved to find happiness and love late in life. They set everything up perfectly for his life to begin again, too.
But nope! True for everyone else but not that one in particular. Just that guy. Fuck him.

lol yes I remember reading meta predicting his death and going "yeah but izzy dying would go totally against the themes of the show and would just be weirdly sad". naively thinking those were things that were going to be considered in writing s2.
