- From learning storytelling fundamentals thru Spanish reprints to finding inspiration as a student of comics, Sal Buscema has always been a staple in my appreciation of the art form. Here are some of my favorites, a humble fraction of an immense career. The Silver Age curtains are drawing close. RIP

- Reposted by Michel FiffeCREATING COPRA by @michelfiffe.bsky.social . In it he shares his process behind his self-published comic series Copra, which he launched over 10 years ago. Michel started out with a monthly schedule and maintained it every since. No small feat considering he was producing a colored comic.
- I’m at the halfway mark of my massive Keith Giffen video retrospective! It’s a thorough, casual, chronological flip-thru of every last bit of artwork he drew, from the mega hits to the rare & obscure. 5 decades in 6 episodes LET’S GO: youtube.com/@michelfiffe...

- This morning I read @michelfiffe.bsky.social ‘s Zegas & it just lit off a thousand sparks in my brain. I love when a comic creator excels at bending the form in ways you yourself never would have imagined. Beyond just pacing & layout, it’s subtler things - like line-weight. Just captivatingly good.
- Annihilator by Josh Simmons. Great writing and art, fully realized settings, confident pacing, vibrant colors balancing its grim core. Heavy duty cartooning, proving that a blood-soaked vigilante story doesn’t have to be boring, homogenous dogshit. Nicely printed by Mansion Press. Recommended.
- This was a fun panel — I recall covering tons of stuff that I’ve never discussed… pre-COPRA dreams and beefs and highs and lows. Glad it was recorded!
- We promised, and now we deliver! Our fourth episode in four weeks given you the "COPRA's Last Round" panel from HeroesCon 2025, where creator @michelfiffe.bsky.social and I send off his indie sensation series in style!

- COPRA R8 is out! Thank you forever: Kat, O, Adam, Jason, Tucker, Tom, the stores, the festivals, the podcasts, Image, Bergen, Squad fans, art comic enthusiasts. You stuck with me for a decade plus, fifty issues of the most loving revenge comics. My appreciation for your attention knows no bounds.
- Rose City ComicCon! Met old friends and new readers, signed books and sold art, finally put faces to internet names; my return to Portland was a gas. I am nothing if not terrible at remembering to take pics of these interactions, so here’s a Batman sketch instead.
- Stan Sakai’s USAGI YOJIMBO

- The fact that this exists is beautiful & deeply humbling. @nonoathbreaker.bsky.social poured his heart into this project, and tho it’s impossible for me not to be biased, I urge you to take a look at his curatorial efforts. A mighty thread honoring its contributors. Take a bow, Josh, you deserve it.
- In honor of @michelfiffe.bsky.social's Copra ending it's phenomenal run last week, I've put Coconut Meat Skull, a fanzine I collated and published, up digitally for free here - lambozilla.itch.io/coconut-meat.... Any money received will be donated to Trans Aid Nashville, a local mutual aid group.
