- ah, yes, let's take a story that has multiple, diverging paths that depend on player choices (which is a key aspect of it) and *checks notes* turn it into a medium where a single choice will be canon. that sure will work out and make every fan happy!!!
- there's a reason why some stories shine in their respective medium and bg3 is certainly one of them. half of the game's beauty lies in the fact that it's not a singular story, that no campaign is the same. that you can get extremely different outcomes, depending on your choices
- it would already be an impossible challenge to adapt the game's story into a movie/tv show, but to hop ahead and cement character's fates (something fans have spent years at each other's throats for btw) without even exploring the paths that led them there? certainly a disastrous choice
- the fact that the guy behind this fails to understand this fundamental problem of adapting this sort of story says everything you need to know about the show's prospects. and what a fundamental misunderstanding of the game's core beauty he has.
