- my new and decorated AYN thor! it's very exciting, I'm not sure if I'll favor it over my real 3ds for dual screen games but the multitasking (or brain rotting) opportunities are exciting. mostly been playing GC so far also a family photo of my rg35xxsp, new 3ds LL, and ayn thor!
- stardew valley style fishing in a pokemon game is my dream come true
- very excited to play the new nemo622 romhack, pokemon lazarus! ko-fi.com/s/9ae89c2476 if you play romhacks or are a pokemon fan u should check it out!
- playing on my RG35xxSP
- reading manga and listening to my new pocket radio <3
- messing around with my ipod and discovering that rockbox firmware comes with an interactive periodic table?
- cancelled my spotify subscription! my ipod classic doesn't sell ad space to ICE
- finally trying that horse racing game everyone's been talking about
- I built a new shelf today to hold VHS in my retro media center! and to celebrate I'm watching my official @summoningsalt.bsky.social Halo 2 World Records VHS tape that I got! (the photo is taken on my friend's digicam!)
- I added the ability to give decorations in the aquarium custom colors! this is my attempt to make a big guppy out of rocks.. #fishposting
- aquarium3d.may.as?arrangement=... You can now save/share an aquarium configuration via a URL!
- the fish tank editor is working now! I need to add more decorations and types of fish next :) #fishposting
- there's now a live version at aquarium3d.may.as ! the aquarium layout is saved in the URL, so you can save/share your aquarium! if you add "&view=true" to the url you can create a view-only link. (auto embed code generation is coming v soon)
- my fish tank now has an editor... ill post a demo soon but i think it'll be really fun once i model some more decorations :)
- added some animations to the fish! Now when they change direction they flap their little tails! #fishposting
- Playing around with some water ripple shadows! I am very happy with the effect but I'm not sure how much of that is just bc it took me hours of messing with three.js depth shaders to get this working #fishposting
- my partner had the very clever idea to make the ambient light (the light level in the shadows) brighter, and then crank the directional light up so that the areas which aren't in shadow appear as highlights. Then I inverted the vornoi noise texture, and I think the result looks much prettier!
- It's looking much better with shadow intensity adjusted and shadow radius enabled! thanks for the suggestions @tess.bsky.social !
- things are looking livelier in here now that we've got some plants! #fishposting
- fish added by @tess.bsky.social at 4am are coexisting peacefully with my guppies... what a beautiful project thank you <3
- more fishposting... my lil guys are colliding w each other using rapier physics now
- They like their new rocks...
- my vision for my 3d fish tank is to have an editor where you can add different kinds of fish and plants/decorations, and then export it as an embed you can put on your site, with a little badge to link back to the editor so other ppl can create their own
- github.com/m4ym4y/fish-... it's on github here! I've just been feeling like a cute and very low pressure project :)
- Having some fun making a virtual fish tank with three.js and react-three-fiber! If you aren't familiar with r3f I highly recommend checking it out, it's really cool how easily the pieces fit together to create something interactive (github.com/pmndrs/react...)
- just realized the 3 axes are probably colored like this because X, Y, Z are in the same order as R, G, B ??
- me when im a fish
- starting to do some redesigning on my personal website... i want to add a bit more old-web style whimsy but i need more ideas on what to add
- I am also considering building an embeddable 3d fish tank for websites using three.js...
- i really want to build the infinite fun machine but i don't actually care to use it
- I made a custom homepage for my home server! Every service is accessible on a different subdomain behind an nginx proxy, which uses SSL. And tailscale lets me access from outside my home network! Some services/addresses are obscured for privacy :p
- spent weeks meticulously planning out and setting up a media server only to realize I'd rather watch my docker containers move files around than actually watch any of the media they're organizing
