Random observation: using Claude Code is like the Guy Pearce character from Memento with no short term memory is your eager assistant.
"Please write this down somewhere so you'll remember tomorrow."

My
AGENTS.md file looks pretty much like that guy's tattoos.
It amazes me whenever someone says they have very long sessions with it, I basically give it very specific tasks and that’s it. Anything that requires multiple interactions quickly devolves to garbage.
Hmmm. I’ve already got that guy in my head, and now I have to supervise another one? That might work, actually.
I’ve added a ‘include this prompt in the output’ for the data modeling I’ve been experimenting with. It helps create a string back to where I started.
Have you tried Jean-Claude Van Code?
It always comes back with “matte!”
as a non-coding newb I learned fairly quickly to make it create, regularly update, and review architecture and changelog md files so it doesn’t burn half my tokens re-learning what it did last week
That’s how I have to treat myself so I have plenty of practice.
Well I'm never typing John G. into Claude.
Worried the agent just ends up writing down "Don't believe his lies".
