- During my final year as commander of US Army Europe (2012), we drove the exercise & training program for most of our European allies. We planned & executed over 400 multinational training events each year that contributed to all our nations readiness & ability to come together as allies.
- The United States has informed its NATO allies of its decision to cease participation in the planning of future military exercises in Europe. It is expected to affect exercises that are still in the planning stages or in the conceptual phase. US will shift focus to the Indo-Pacific region.
