- 1 of 5 illustrations for “My Soul is My Captain,” a picture book dummy I illustrated about life. The illustrations are inspired by poetry. The story is about diversity and life. I also used my heritage as a Brazilian-American woman as inspiration for the book 📚 #kidlit #kidlitart

- My first school visit was a success! We started with a reading of “Percy the Pesky Squirrel,” and I shared my artistic process illustrating the book. Afterward, the students illustrated their own inventive animals. The kids were rockstars! So grateful for this opportunity! #KidLitArt #KidLit
