- Reposted by Manuel TheryA few seconds of eternity: From microscope to museum❣️ It was truly delightful to be part of this project, celebrating life as a continuous dance of creation, collapse, and renewal. 🔄 Kudos to @manuelthery.bsky.social @lblanchoin.bsky.social #cytomorpholab members, and @museeorsay.bsky.social
- and certainly in you Buzz!
- Using micropatterning & thousands of hours on the microscope @manuelthery.bsky.social and the #CytoMorphoLab reimagined the Musée D’Orsay. Accompanied by an orchestra and poet, their images transported us into the cellular universe. I remembered why I am a cell biologist. All of this is in us. Wow!
- Reposted by Manuel TheryHuge congrats to @manuelthery.bsky.social and all the Cytomorpho lab. The "Living Architectures" performance at @museeorsay.bsky.social was breathtakingly beautiful
- Reposted by Manuel TheryLast night @museeorsay.bsky.social we saw fluorescence images of cells or protein filaments seemingly grow along the internal structures of the ceiling of the main hallway. It was mesmerising I loved it Science is Art! More of this please! Congratulations @manuelthery.bsky.social very cool 🤩🤓

- Reposted by Manuel TheryNon-motile microbes are not prisoners of diffusive transport. Just their metabolic activity can be sufficient to stir up the ambient fluid and cause explosive long-range dispersal -- a "metabolic firework". Our latest work -- arxiv.org/abs/2512.16288
- Reposted by Manuel TheryWhat is more, this metabolic firework can result in fractal morphogenesis of the resulting colony. We think this is due to a hydrodynamic analogue of Diffusion Limited Aggregation, which we term Circulation Driven Aggregation.

- So called microtubule organizing centers (MTOCs) are not "organizing centers". They don't control their position (network center), nor MT orientation, length and shape (network shape). The actual organizers are MTs, molecular motors and regulators of MT +ends. MTOCs nucleate MTs. Let's rename MTOCs.
- not sure we should keep the term "centre". First because nucleation might be dispersed (mostly in differentiated cells). Second because even when clustered the nucleators may not be localized at the cell center.

- We found that it takes only two cells for the bias to take place. Although now they are only 60% to chose the clockwise direction.
