- As a teacher educator, I ❤️ when multiple books on the same figure or topic come out. 👏🏻👏🏻 to @pwkidsbookshelf.bsky.social for seeing these books as a text set from which we all can learn about Eunice Foote, carbon dioxide, women’s rights, AND nonfiction writer’s craft!
- Grateful to have our work on early 19th century children’s nonfiction out in the world! Then and now, kids want to know things. They deserve high quality books that inform them about the world they live in.
- What did early 19th century nonfiction books for children look like? Probably different than you imagine! Delighted that a slice of the work @macappiello.bsky.social and I have been doing on the history of nonfiction children's literature is in the most recent issue of The Dragon Lode.
- Bang head into wall……
- In American high schools, many teenagers are assigned few full books to read from beginning to end — often just one or two per year, according to researchers and thousands of responses to an informal reader survey by The New York Times. trib.al/gNp7kWK

- We’re so lucky that @portersqbooks.bsky.social arrived at University Hall at Lesley. Not only is the book selection amazing, the chocolate chip cookies at Page and Leaf cafe make the space even cozier.
- This is a fascinating find! It’s incredible to think what else lurks in as-of-yet uncatalogued collections.
