- If you’re not watching Heated Rivalry you need to catch up. Episode 5 has one of the best scenes I’ve ever seen in a TV show. It’s a Canadian show based on a book series by Canadian author Rachel Reid called Game Changers. She wrote the series because she wanted to address the homophobia in hockey.

- My daughter made these two ceramic pieces in high school and I love them so much. I used her Jack Skellington 🎃 as the model to carve one of our pumpkins yesterday. Halloween is my favourite.
- I put out a call to my neighbourhood last weekend for items to help unhoused people in our city. So far I’ve been given five sleeping bags, four raincoats and a tent. I wish our city did more to help the housing crisis but our mayor is deep in the pockets of rich developers.

- Not drinking alone is my self-care. I’ve had an emotional week and I’ve been alone while my husband is in Nova Scotia. If I had been drinking I’d feel like shit right now. Instead I’ve had a very productive week. Even when my kids came for a long weekend lunch I bought a selection of 0% drinks.
