- This is Ottawa city politics summarized to its core essence. A twenty-five year obsession, post-amalgamation, with "keeyping property tax increases low". Meanwhile, we have one of the most expensive (to user) and least reliable transit system in the country, as well as crumbling infrastructures.

- 1. A recent, nostalgy-infused trend on social media has been to post about #2016. For me, the best album of 2016 was Hopelessness by Anonhi, one of the best political albums of all time. It dealt with issues that are, sadly, still relevant today.
