- Oldie but goldie.
- Sad how it's hard to make new friends at my age, and at the same time, some old friends turn out to be defenders of bad people and bad things.

- "What we witness here, then, are traces of the violence of power - military dictatorship, gender hierarchy, racialized labor - etched into the very structures of sight and sense. These films invite us to feel where seeing fails, and where the darkness itself begins to speak." - Chan Yong Bu

- Tie between What Have I Done to Deserve This? and I Wouldn’t Normally Do This Kind of Thing, I think. Then again, there are some Smiths songs that could be in the mix.

- Supposedly a new hq rip from a new source tape. Who knows? I've never felt too completist about BoC rarities; the official releases are enough. I have several folders of these old tunes downloaded off Soulseek years ago, and maybe someday I'll go back and sort them out?

- Adachi's H2 seen here is fantastic. The pacing, the silent moments, the gentle visual gags - all so good. Also good for learning Japanese.

- Happy to get back to posting on Multichannel again. I'm sharing examples of split screen in various media and other projects that foreground the use of multiple audiovisual layers. Thanks to filmmaker Julie Talen for the term "multichannel" to describe such works.

- It sounded like Lego Smart Play would be fun to play with as a dev tool - Mindstorms but all in one small brick of built-in sensors that can network with each other - but it also seems the company will lock it down hard and use it mostly for branded products. Too bad.

On Christmas morning, he told me he didn't have any pretty scraps lately, so he just... made this for me. Incredible!
