(He/Him)
- And a great example of one of the many instances where something weird and memorable in the original (where trolls are three-eyed and grotesquely ape-*like*) has been replaced with something generically higher definition but totally boring (a monkey with a sort of orc head)
- "If you see artwork in Fallen London with too many eyes or fingers, rest assured that those are there on purpose." 😘👌✨
- This slogan sure is raising a lot of questions about whether AI actually works that are answered by the slogan

- Reposted by Alexander KingIf you want to know what people mean when they say Democrats are "controlled opposition," rather than whipping votes against ICE funding, Hakeem Jeffries struck a deal with Republicans to allow Democrats to feign outrage at ICE while still funding the spending package.
- Reposted by Alexander KingGotcha—let’s dig into that step by step. 1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish. 2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.
- The use case of this technology has always been to reduce human dignity, but I could never have predicted anything so pathetic as this. Unable to face the composure their victims show, they have to fabricate the tears they hoped to cause.
- This is true. I had a cubicle at my first job, and I literally didn't know how good I had it. Quiet, private, high walls, like a small office. Everything after that was open floorplan hell, mainly chosen only because they *look* more hip and dynamic.
- Finished the new season of culinary class wars last night, and while I thought the season was only okay overall, I absolutely loved Venerable Sunjae, a Buddhist monk who cooks temple cuisine. More game shows needs to have monk contestants! Someone with no attachments is utterly terrifying.
- This is allegedly to "improve efficiency" but I assume it's for the exact same reason every company wants you to use their app for purchases now, because then it magically makes price discrimination legal.
- Love this game! Played it a ton back in the day. It's a sort of Mad Max themed trading sim. You're going around buying low and selling high, but if you screw up your water volume-to-weight ratio calc you die of thirst in the desert.
- This is incredible work, haunting and humanizing. And here's a different link to the video that doesn't seem throw a login wall- www.nytimes.com/video/opinio...
- Nicolas Gourault's fantastic short experimental documentary film «Their Eyes» about the invisible human labor behind AI, which we showed and discussed at our «React & Respond» conference in Zurich last year, is now streaming on the NYT website www.nytimes.com/2026/01/02/o...
- This fall marks 10 years of me working 'in games' (more or less), and I wanted to jot some thoughts down about it while it's still 2025. I often feel like I haven't accomplished anything, but all in all, somehow I can't bring myself to feel disappointed. blog.literallyaking.com/2025/12/30/1...
