I do german and english cricket commentary on youtube. I made the decision to stream on youtube because the userbase and culture of twitch is incredibly toxic. I'm trans, and twitch "raids" by way bigger rightwing streamers are effing scary. On youtube I feel way safer,

and to add insult to injury, Youtube is technically better set up for live streaming than twitch is. You can only watch "live" on twitch, while youtube allows you to jump into a livestream, and start at the beginning, while the stream is still live. And it stays online as a VOD automatically.

Twitch also allows to scroll back in time on a live nowadays. but yeah its not as good
