- We show relevant adsorption (ads) of the hydrophobic contaminant HCB to 21 bentonite minerals. Ads varied by orders of magnitude. Highest ads was in the range of ads to organic matter. We discuss impact of various clay characteristics on ads strength. Results are relevant for POP fate and retention.
