Scrap the bathroom ban: actionnetwork.org/letters/scrap-the-b…
- The Guardian is reporting that EHRC is looking again at its proposed code of practice for single-sex spaces.
- But we need to keep up the pressure to make sure including trans people is the default.
- Use this tool, from our friends at Trans+ Solidarity Alliance and TransActual, to tell your MP to oppose any bathroom ban: actionnetwork.org/letters/scra...
- Thank you to everybody who came to our Parliamentary drop-in with @transactualuk.bsky.social this evening. Trans workers’ lives have been made tougher since the Supreme Court ruling, but the labour movement stands with us 🏳️⚧️
- A fantastic summary of the situation by @racheltaylormp.bsky.social 👇 www.theguardian.com/society/2025...
- Great to see three trans ally Labour MPs elected to the Women & Equalities Committee, including our Parliamentary Patron @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social 👏🏳️⚧️
- Delighted to announce that I have joined the Women & Equalities Committee, alongside @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social and Kevin McKenna MP. I’m looking forward to scrutinising the government’s work in this area and championing equality for women and marginalised groups.
- Congratulations @lucympowell.bsky.social 👏👏 We’re looking forward to working with you as our Deputy Leader 🌹
- We have to send a strong message to the Government and EHRC: exclusion is not the only answer. Our friends at @transactualuk.bsky.social have put this together - write to your MP now 👇 actionnetwork.org/letters/scra...
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsBallots begin to drop today. Remember, members decide their Deputy. It’s a party role not a government one. In the great traditions, I would be a distinctive voice, the members voice, full-time.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsWe're grateful to both campaigns for engaging with us and answering our questions. In our view, @lucympowell.bsky.social is the deputy leadership candidate that is better placed to advocate for trans rights within Labour.
- After hearing from both candidates, Labour for Trans Rights has decided to endorse @lucympowell.bsky.social in the Deputy Leadership Election. Ballots will begin to drop tomorrow for Labour Party members and other eligible electors. Good luck Lucy!

- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsTuesday's rally was incredibly hopeful, with trans people and allies from across the labour movement coming together to say enough is enough.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans Rights“Prejudice thrives in ignorance, hope grows in knowledge, solidarity is built in shared struggle.” @drjogrady.bsky.social at the Labour conference trans rally. Labour must defend and champion inclusive education.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsThank you for having us!
- @mickwhelanaslef.bsky.social, we’re proud of you too ❤️ Thank you to ASLEF, Unite, Unison, GMB, CWU, UCU and NUS and everybody else who supported us yesterday 🏳️⚧️ labourlist.org/2025/09/mick...

- A massive thank you to all our speakers and trade union partners, especially to @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social for your excellent chairing.

- We’re proud that @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social stands up for the whole LGBT+ community. Thank you Sadiq ❤️🏳️⚧️
- Immoral and unworkable. Bridget Phillipson must reject the guidance as it stands. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...
- We're excited to announce the first details of this year's Trans Solidarity Rally at Labour Party Conference - trans allies are here to stay in our labour movement 🏳️⚧️ Attending Labour Conference? Put this date in your diary 👇
- A massive thank you to the organisations supporting our rally this year: @unison.org.uk, @gmb.org.uk, @cwunews.bsky.social, @aslefunion.bsky.social, @ucu.org.uk, @nus-uk.bsky.social and @utaw.tech. The union movement was built on the principles of solidarity & equality: glad to have you onboard ✊
- Great to hear that a pro-trans motion was carried at TUC Congress. In the face of enormous pressure, the labour movement stands with us 🏳️⚧️ congress.tuc.org.uk/motion-07-su...
- Only four days left to submit our Conference Motion on the EHRC to Labour Party Conference 👇 docs.google.com/document/d/1...
- Thank you to those who joined us for our Labour for Trans Rights campaign day with one of our top allies in Parliament, @alexsobel.co.uk 🏳️⚧️
- You only have until next Thursday 11th September at 5pm to submit our draft Conference motion at your CLP 👇 Let’s get trans rights onto Conference floor 🏳️⚧️ docs.google.com/document/d/1...
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsForthcoming statutory guidance could have a profound impact on trans people's lives. I've written to the Women and Equalities Minister to urge her to reject anything that undermines trans people's rights, inclusion, privacy or safety, and for Parliament to have proper oversight.
- Are you attending Labour Party Conference? Let us know if you’re able to help us out 👇 docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsWe have just under a month to get our CLPs to submit this motion 👇 Let’s do this 🏳️⚧️
- We're sharing our suggested Labour Party Conference motion submission, on reforming a clearly not-fit-for-purpose Equality & Human Rights Commission 👇 You have until Thursday 11th September, 5pm to get your CLP to submit this 🏳️⚧️ docs.google.com/document/d/1...

- A strong majority of Labour members under 45 stand strongly with the trans community 🏳️⚧️ But it’s no surprise the membership as a whole is split in two when the government have treated this issue in such a divisive way. The LGBT+ community deserves better.
- Despite concerns by MPs and the two relevant select committees, Mary-Ann Stephenson’s appointment as EHRC Chair has gone ahead - this is incredibly concerning.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsAs of Today, the LGBT Labour National Committee is run by an entirely unelected group of individuals for the first time in its 50-year history. Democracy has been abolished by the committee for the committee. Only three of us voted to keep it.
- Solidarity to @timrocamp.bsky.social, who the anti-progressive Telegraph has decided to round on this weekend 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsThe decision that the LGBT Labour National Committee made this evening to cancel our AGM at the last minute is an unprecedented overreach of their authority, will allow them to stay in office longer than our constitution allows and is blindingly anti-democratic.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsThis is outrageous by the London centric @LGBTLabour I’ve paid for my train ticket from Bristol, non-refundable to keep the cost down. That’s money I’m now going to lose 😡. They can kick the AGM down the road & give themselves more time to organise, but we’re still standing.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsI'm really concerned that LGBT+ Labour have postponed their AGM, creating unnecessary uncertainty around when and where the meeting will be held, and leaving trans members unclear as to whether their identities will be respected at the AGM.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsOur statement on LGBT+ Labour National Committee's decision to postpone the AGM. We fully intend to contest the LGBT+ Labour AGM. Trans rights are human rights 🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsSomebody who needs no introduction: Georgia Meadows, our other fantastic candidate for Co-Chair of LGBT+ Labour 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Vote for Georgia and the rest of the slate at the LGBT+ Labour AGM on Saturday 19th July. If you’re a member, sign up before 5pm this Saturday 12th!
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsIntroducing Amy… one of our fantastic candidates for Co-Chair of LGBT+ Labour 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Vote for Amy and the rest of the Trans Rights Alliance slate at the LGBT+ Labour AGM on Saturday 19th July. If you’re a member, sign up before 5pm this Saturday 12th!
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsThank you for the endorsement @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social, you're an LGBT+ superstar and we're so happy to have your support 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ If you're an LGBT+ Labour member, register now for the AGM on Saturday 19th July.
- We're proud to support the Trans Rights Alliance candidates in the LGBT+ Labour elections - at this crucial moment for the trans community, we need strong voices in our Party fighting for our rights. These candidates will do just that 🌹🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans Rights🚨 LGBT+ Labour members, there's an AGM coming: we're asking you support the Trans Rights Alliance 🏳️⚧️ We're a cross-factional group of proud trans, GNC & ally LGBT+ Labour members who want our organisation to boldly defend our community and actively engage our membership... (1/6)
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsAlso, an announcement that the EHRC guidance will be subject to parliamentary scrutiny 😍. A big win for those of us who’ve raised awareness of the damage done to the trans community by the SC judgement, incl. @labour4transrights.bsky.social
- Thank you to everybody who joined us for our Labour for Trans Rights fringe event at @younglabour.bsky.social and @labourstudents.bsky.social Congress today - standing room only! Young members will always stand for trans rights ✊🏳️⚧️
- A joint statement between Labour for Trans Rights, Georgia Meadows (LGBT+ Labour’s Trans Officer) and Pride in Labour on the leaked NEC paper.
- Thank you to all Labour MPs and affiliates who’ve shared their solidarity this #IDAHOBIT We will defeat transphobia, homophobia and biphobia, creating a world where people can live as themselves 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsThank you to my (many) professional colleagues who, appalled by the Supreme Court decision, have reached out to offer their help pro or low bono in service of the trans community. For our amoral political class it's all a game but my colleagues know it's deadly serious.
- EHRC’s interim guidance is awful: an overextension of what was decided by the Supreme Court, and with chilling ramifications. When they say there are circumstances where trans people can be excluded from public life altogether, you know it’s about more than delivering “clarity”.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsLooking forward to the time when Bridget Phillipson MP* calls out in a debate the bullying and harassment by JK Rowling against me, a Labour politician. * Or Karin Smyth. Or Keir Starmer.
- Absolutely fantastic to see over 40 Young Labour and Labour Students officers co-signing this letter of solidarity with the trans community 🏳️⚧️ Thank you to @chloebrooks.bsky.social for putting together ❤️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsA statement from myself and other Young Labour and Labour Students officers, given we were unable to post an official Young Labour statement. Solidarity from us to the whole trans community 🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsMy statement on today's ruling. First and foremost, to all other trans people: look after yourselves.
- Our statement on the Supreme Court's decision. We will have more to say in due course.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsToday is Trans Day of Visibility 🏳️⚧️ It is an important day to celebrate the amazing trans people in all walks of life doing excellent work - but also acknowledge the work we must do to ensure trans people have fair access to healthcare, and can live their lives free from discrimination and hate.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsTo mark Trans Day of Visibility, we’ve partnered with Outernet Global to celebrate London’s trans community.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsTransgender Day of Visibility is a time to uplift trans voices, celebrate trans lives, and affirm that respect is a right - not a privilege. Visibility matters, and so does solidarity 🏳️⚧️⚧️✨
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsI'm doubtful the main Labour page will have anything, and it wouldn't surprise me if those with access to the LGBT Labour account forgot about the day. They've conviently forgotten since 2021. But frankly, that's exactly the reason that the #TransDayOfVisibility exists. So be visible.
- Happy #TransDayOfVisibility to the trans community across the world. Now more than ever, it's vital we remain visible as the trans community and allies in the Labour movement. Love and solidarity to all LGBTQ+ people facing oppression 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsToday is Transgender Day of Visibility. Most trans people just want to get on with their lives and contribute to society. Here’s a short video montage of me speaking in my role as a Bristol city councillor. #TDOV #Transgenderdayofvisibiity m.youtube.com/watch?v=H9Ab...
- We’ve had a fantastic first 24 hours of our fundraiser - hundreds of you have supported us, and we’re so grateful ✨ Every donation brings us a step closer to having our biggest presence yet at Labour Conference. For anyone who’s not yet had a chance 👇 t.co/M3s1WQnBKv
- Reposted by Labour for Trans Rightsokay i decided. i just donated £10 to this im as anti-labour as it gets but i think there needs to be a counter presence at the labour party conference last year they hosted a group that explicitly calls for our eradication and @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social sat on the panel it needs to be countered
- The vast majority of the labour movement is pro-trans, but a well-funded anti-trans network is trying to dominate Labour Party Conference. We need our biggest presence yet at Conference this year, but to do that we need your help 👇 actionnetwork.org/fundraising/...

- Georgia, you’re the democratically-elected Trans Officer for LGBT+ Labour. We back you fully. LGBT+ Labour, why won’t you?
- Unfortunately, despite the advice of the only Trans person on the National Committee, LGBT Labour is again refusing to stand up for trans people. They have informed me that they will not be making a statement on the disturbing comments by @anassarwar.bsky.social Without the T. Again.
- To be clear, reactionaries have tried to divide the LGBT+ community before - it didn’t work then and it won’t work now 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
- Thank you to @angelaeagle1.bsky.social for being crystal clear on the media round this morning: Labour is still committed to our manifesto pledge on gender recognition reform. We will continue to push for a timeline from the Party on these changes 🏳️⚧️
- You cannot beat far-right politics by pandering to it. We made a manifesto commitment and will not allow any notion of breaking it 🏳️⚧️ www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

- Today, we went to the Department of Health and Social Care to hand in our petition against the puberty blockers ban. Over 17,500 of you signed. @wesstreeting.bsky.social, listen to the Labour movement. Scrap the ban 🏳️⚧️
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsI was happy to head down to the Department of Health and Social Care today to hand in our 17,500 strong petition asking Wes Streeting to lift the ban on Puberty Blockers for Trans Youth. It's a baseless ban that has already had a massive detrimental impact across the trans community.
- Reposted by Labour for Trans RightsI signed this important petition - and there's still time for you to do so too. Labour should be so much better than the Conservatives on issues of social justice and liberation. Trans siblings deserve respect, deserve support and deserve our action.
- We are handing this petition in to DHSC on Friday. Thank you to everybody who’s signed. Three days left for anybody who hasn’t signed yet 👇 actionnetwork.org/petitions/op...

- Solidarity with Cllr Hughes. It’s so upsetting they didn’t feel safe in the Labour Party. We need a code of conduct on transphobia urgently. t.co/s0Nz56VDNy
- Thank you to @UnitetheUnion for coming out strongly against the puberty blockers ban 👏👏 www.unitetheunion.org/media/50epjn...
- Thank you to the @unitetheunion.bsky.social National LGBT+ Committee for signing 👏👏 It's so powerful to see the labour movement coming in united behind our demand for trans equality. Keep sharing, keep signing 👇 actionnetwork.org/petitions/op...
