- Japan has many volcanoes. Due to past accidents, access to active ones is often restricted. This photo, taken at Mount Aso, shows a rare volcano with fewer access limits where activity can be seen up close. It’s my most meaningful photo of the year. Did you take any memorable photos this year?

- Amazing! The balance between the ice and the reflected morning glow is wonderful.
- Last year, I spent New Year’s in Hokkaido, Japan. The week-long road trip in the freezing cold was tough but unforgettable. This photo was taken during that trip. Originally colorful, I made it black and white to emphasize its sharp details. Can you guess what this photo captures?
- Fantastic work, Kazuki! I also guess that it is some kind of frozen spring.
- Thank you! What a pity, this is just sulfur components that have been released as steam and precipitated.

- That's right! I'm glad to hear that.

- No, but it's something to do with volcanoes 🌋

- Thanks, Armand!
- My guess would be frost from the steam of a hot spring on a strange volcanic rock formation. Anyway it looks great.
- Wow! That's right. It was a very beautiful view.
- Ice on a willow?
- No, but ice is what I wanted to express, so I'm glad that it came across.
- Wow. This is next level. Guessing a hot spring of some sort.
- Thanks Jane, that's almost correct!
- I love the contrast of blue and yellow created by the autumn leaves and fog. In cold regions of Japan, autumn is ending and winter is beginning. How about in your country?
- Wonderful job capturing the mood in these scenes! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
- Thanks Jordan!
- As the weekend approaches, bringing high humidity and a biting chill, I can’t take my eyes off the weather forecast. Frost-covered trees always excite me. Once again, the cold yet thrilling winter season is about to begin.
- another beautifull set Kazuki

- I don't want to spam your feed, but the third photo also deeply touched me. I'm still not certain what it is about the play of light and branches and leaves that inspires so much wonder--but your art evokes feeling and wonder as I look and contemplate. Deep breaths. I am cleansed. Thank you so much
- I am truly grateful that you were able to convey so much with just four photos. Thank you so much. I am very happy.
- Absolutely stunning!
