- thanks as always to @lingcomm.org and everyone who has supported them! i think the grant program is such a fun and cool way to support small independent projects where we share linguistics #scicomm with our communities!
- you should also consider applying (or supporting your students/mentees/friends/colleagues/frenemies) to the LingComm Kirby And Friends LGBTQ+ grant, which came out of a previous Kirby Birthday Week lingcomm.org/grants/
- oh btw now that i am not all sick and tragic i can announce that it is that magical time of year: Kirby's Birthday Week. it looks like that will be going on at least through saturday. if you'd like to celebrate with me, i enjoy when people contribute to mutual aid funds

- love to go on email to tell my students that im sick and have to cancel class and while im writing it receive three emails from sick students who will be missing class. okay yes glad we're all on the same page lets go take naps and reconvene next week lmao
- no more yelling triggering shit in my mentions for the rest of the day please
- okay i've sent the fucking email. i don't want to be personally responsible for this dude, and if his name is on our website it means i keep getting embarrassing questions from friends about whether that means we think he's, like, good
- "bode" is one of my favorite verbs in english, what the fuck is it even doing
- multiple friends have asked me if the professional organization im a part of plans to do anything about the chomsky epstein stuff and its like. i mean yeah i guess we could whip up an open letter and remove him as a Fellow but this would not affect him whatsoever. he might straightup not notice
