- Sir, we are all trapped in this tin can together; dinner is over and done, lights are down, there’s 7 hours left of this night flight, and I very politely informed you I’m putting my seat back to sleep so roll your eyes and harrumph all you want, I am tired and have noise canceling headphones.
- Left for the airport and made it to my building elevator before realizing I was still in my fuzzy house slippers. Now I’m at the gate in appropriate footwear and looking forward to a nice flight with a good book by @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social A bientôt la France!
- Feeling myself because a medically complex pt’s mom was like “only vascular access team can start an IV on my child, unless the ED nurse who is in her 30s, wears a fanny pack and goes to Europe a lot is here.” and everyone was like oh yeah that’s Naïna.
- There should be an option for calling out from work when your cat is being *too cute*
- I’m not superstitious BUT I am also packing my lucky Seahawks sweatshirt, that has gone unwashed since I wore it to the post season SF game, in my carry on so there’s no chance it gets lost on my way to France. Now, I just have to find a good way to watch the Superbowl in France. Go Hawks!
- I’m glad that attorney spoke up. I’ve seen comments from atop high horses saying she can always quit, and perhaps she will, and if she does I hope she can find better work, but also, if all the good people quit… who is left?

- On my lunch, after 4 hours triaging a packed lobby full of sick kids, mentally preparing to go back to a packed ED full of sick kids, repeating over and over “just 2 shifts until a 2 week vacation vacation, just 2 shifts until a 2 week vacation..”

- Following this San Mateo Council meeting thread as it echos Seattle where many locals speak up and say “this is what we want/need” a few weirdos/special interests say “nobody wants this” and the council goes “what we’ve tried in the past hasn’t worked, let’s try the same thing but somehow worse.”
