- I have an itch that i cannot scratch ... ... and it's driving me ... ... insane ... ... 😵💫 ... Before/after squamous cell carcinoma lesion removal (see the bridge of my nose). I've had squamous cell carcinomas (type keratoacanthomas) on both inner arms just above the wrists. 1/4
- Hopefully, no other treatment will be needed since the tissue margins were rigorously examined. Solar UV exposure has definitely played a role. For instance, I actually needed to go to the doctor for sunburn when I was a pasty 13. 2/4
- However, there is another source that is occupational: lab transilluminators. FYI, I ran hundreds of ethidium bromide stained gels (& CsCl2 gradients) in the old days. My lab coat crept up, my gloves slid down — leaving a nice area with full exposure to UV from the transilluminator. 3/4
- Come to think of it, how much of a barrier is a lab coat to UV at the short range distance of cutting a band out of a gel? 4/4
