- Fab day volunteering at Woodbastwick NNR on Thursday. 14 species of Odonata spotted, the highlights being several freshly emerged Willow Emerald Damselfly and Small Red-eyed Damselfly. #bugsky #odonata #insects #dragonfly #damselflyJun 29, 2025 15:51
- Other interesting insects, quite a few Spotted Longhorns (Rutpela maculata), several Swallowtails - very hard to approach as it was so warm & this small wasp which I think is Chalcis sispes (a "Thick-legged Wasp") #pollinators #insects #butterfly #wasps #beetles
- Such a lovely place. Ditches full of Bladderwort (Utricularia vulgaris) and Swallowtails whizzing about all over.
- ALT text didn't save!! Freshly emerged Willow Emerald, Small Red-eyed Damselfly, mating Common Blue Damselfly & Common Emerald Damselfly
