I love reading those tech bros "life schedule" or whatever the fuck they call it and every time, without fail, I think:
You're still gonna die, dude.
Jan 29, 2026 14:44They're all so scared of mortality. This endless quest for eternal life, AI, whatever is a mask for that terror. Instead of just accepting that we all go in the end, that we're all gonna get forgotten eventually. (maybe not Ea-nāṣir, but the rest of us sure)
And look, I'm not saying that facing our own mortality isn't scary or sad. It's a difficult concept. But it's also one that you absolutely can't run from. Facing it, making peace with it, and figuring out how to make every day count is the important bit.
Cold showers ain't it, bro.
Be kind to people. Make art. Look at trees. Watch a sunset. Eat good food. Do things that make you and others happy. Read books in whatever format you want. Enjoy shows. Play sports. Try to move a little if you can every day. Get off your phone. Get ON your phone and talk to people you love.
Play with animals. Talk to kids about dinosaurs. Hell talk to other adults about dinosaurs. Give people money if you can. Accept help if you need it. Buy the art. Lay in the grass. Watch out for your neighbors.
Maybe there are extra lives, but you only remember this one. 💚
