- My job is incorporating more AI and it just makes me so angry because I’m going to be forced to use it. More and more coworkers are using it for answers to questions or to write. Where do you even place boundaries when it’s forced on you?

- I want a digital media player so badly but damn they are expensive. I miss iPod days. And I do have a nice iPod somewhere but it was in rough shape by the time I stopped using it.
- Does anyone else use music to regulate their system? I’ve been gravitating toward the album “II” by Voices From the Lake. No vocals, but the beats and music are soothing. I keep coming back to it. Thankful for people who posted their AOTY lists so I could discover this album.
- Reposted by KatieMutual Aid by Dean Spade is free on Libro for the next week (until 2/2). We know that books can't fix everything, but they can help us show up for and strengthen our communities. Our employee book club read this last year, leading to a great discussion. We hope that it helps others do the same 💗 ⏬
- I guess I’m at “takes 3 minute video of the birds in the snow” age now.
- Okay I’ve been convinced to watch Heated Rivalry.

- If you need a good movie that isn’t super sad but very beautiful and poignant please watch Columbus that’s streaming for ~free~ on Tubi. It’s one of my favorite movies ever. I just rewatched it for the third time and it hits every single time I watch it.
- The Pitt has a hold on me. I literally can’t stop watching it.
- Not my coworker using AI overview as WORK FACTS. You bet I called her ass out. And it’s just Monday. 😭
- Just watched Lesbian Space Princess since my partner got it for me for Christmas and wow. Loved the animation, it’s hilarious, and enjoyed the story. It is animated but not for kids. 10/10 recommend. boxd.it/PgP6

- These are the albums and artists I listened to most this year that weren’t just 2025 releases.
- Favorite Albums of 2025 Part 2
- Favorite Albums of 2025 Part 1
- 2025 reading stats. I actually ended up reading 113 books since I finished one late on the 31st. I’m hoping to move into 2026 with more intention on my reading. I had a stretch of horror audiobook obsession in the fall that really took things to another level. 😅
- One of my hopes for 2026 is that I no longer have to roll my eyes when I hear about “high protein” recipes. If people aren’t talking about fiber when using the word “high” then I’m out.
- I did FINALLY get this sent to my friend this year. I dyed the fabric but pattern is by Mama Witch XStitch.
- I am sooooo close to having a secret cross-stitch project done for a friend but damn if my wrists/arms don’t get all inflamed on me. 😭 I’ve been doing a little at a time for a while but it’s hard not to push it being so close to done.
- Whoever designed Jack and Jill style bathrooms has never had an upset stomach a day in their life. This is its own circle of hell.
- Anyone else’s cat have beef with bookmarks?? Doesn’t matter what kind. If it marks your page in a book, she will try to eat it.
- Anyone have recommendations for the following genres/formats preferably not by white straight cis men? Literary fiction Historical fiction Classics History/politics Science Memoir/biography Play Anthology/short stories Translated Works #booksky #bookrecommedations
- There is something truly magnificent about reading Mary Oliver’s poetry during a very cold December.
- Truly grateful my sister took up sourdough because my god have I been blessed with delicious bread. She makes this chili oil, cheese, and green onion loaf that makes some killer breakfast sandwiches.

- As of today I have officially read 100 books this year. I had a goal of 30 knowing it was obtainable but never expected to get anywhere near 100. I haven’t loved books this much since before advanced classes and college killed any love I had for it. Feeling so grateful for the library too.
- Me: I don’t want to cook anything for dinner. Also me: makes a whole batch of collard greens.
- I have been so excited about Angel’s Egg being released in theaters only for it to not be showing anywhere near me. 😭😭😭

- My sister is in dermatology (as a medical professional) and she gave me a chemical peel this weekend. It’s kind of driving me crazy but at least the lizard cosplay part is fun. 🤣

- Does anyone have Etsy alternatives? I want to buy gifts from people who make real art and products, and it’s so hard to shift through the crap on there.

- Does anyone else’s cat go into a trance when they make biscuits? 😆
- Kiri’s Gotcha Day is today. 😭 Three years ago I brought her home and we were never even strangers. I think she knew how long I waited for her to be in my life. Today we did all her favorite things (let’s be honest, we do this every day lol). She’s the best cat I could have ever dreamed of having. ❤️
- Current obsession is butternut squash soup with a goat cheese grilled cheese. Instead of butter to grill the bread, I use a mayo and Parmesan blend so it gets crispy and flavorful. 10/10 super delicious. The goat cheese with the butternut squash soup is a perfect combo too.
- I was going to see Paranorman in theaters but damn if it isn’t excluded from A List. Not going to pay almost $20 for that.
- The Format releasing a new song? Never in my life thought I would hear Nate Ruess sing anything new again. Feels a bit weird considering they were the soundtrack to my high school and college years but also excited to hear what their sound is now.
- September reading wrap up! Very clearly hyperfixated on horror audiobooks. 🤣 This is quite high in terms of books read but I have been really enjoying horror lately. Also 95% of these are thanks to my local library. 💕
- I have been hyperfixating on audiobooks lately. I realized it’s because I’m reading more horror and when someone is reading you horror it feels more like a friend sharing a scary story with you. Makes it slightly less scary since someone else is kind of there in a way? Maybe that’s weird. 😆
- This year my only true reading goal besides 30 books was to read more audiobooks. Now I’m not sure what I would do without them. I feel so much more motivated to do things when I can listen to one. Plus it means I can read more since I’m using multiple formats.

- Okay so Marvel Zombies is really freaking good. I can’t believe how brutal it was. And only four episodes?! I need more already.
