The quick response to all this, I've had my brushes with that sort of thing and found more reasons to feel like I was failing. Audiences are fickle and are not to be counted on.

- Huge disconnect with understanding that many, even most artists, want to have something complete and great to show for their effort. Something polished and impressive. I'm one of those people, too. But, I also couldn't live with knowing that part of something was just generated for me. 4/5
- Also have to harp on the "it's just a tool" argument. Tools don't do all the work for you. You manipulate them to your benefit with thoughtful application and purposeful action. Fuck. 5/5
- For both cases, it's from creators who achieved things and followings that I dream of meeting. Then, this comes along and they make excuses when faced with opposition. They don't ask to listen, it's as if they present their case to justify it. Yea, big things take time and effort, duh. 2/5
- Gotta learn a new thing? Pay someone? Let it take years? Yea, maybe that's what it'll take. What really bothers me is when arguing with these people THEY'LL FUCKING AGREE with major problems I lay out only to wave them off. - Got the same kind of envy, but I found a reason to play on paper, which made it more its own playground rather than some expectation. Fancy fountain pen inks and the papers that play best with them are that thing for me now. Maybe you could use a fun new thing for paper.
