- He’s not wrong!
- Reposted by Chris POnce again, it turns out “fully autonomous” means “a guy in the Philippines.”
- Reposted by Chris PAOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.

- I asked my son if he thought Wario might be the villain in the third Super Mario movie. He said, “No, he’s an antihero.”
- Reposted by Chris PIt’s very sweet and cute that he not only planed to have lil kids there and then rolls so well with the lil kids being lil kids but I have to know whose idea the lil podium was

- This is a deeply, nakedly racist and xenophobic administration filled with people motivated by bigotry and spite.
- Sometimes I wonder what the world would be like if predators and assholes actually lost their jobs and were replaced by non-predators and non-assholes.
- Reposted by Chris Pthe Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex

- Reposted by Chris Pwhen I was in high school I had male teachers in their 30s who I totally thought I was adult peer friends with. when I was in my 30s and was a high school youth group leader I was like “those are not my friends, those are children.” that’s when I realized those men just had bad boundaries
- Reposted by Chris Pwhen i was a 16yo girl i thought i was an adult. coaching 12-17yo girls as a 28yo really hammered home how much i was wrong about being an adult at 16 and how obvious it is to actual adults that a 16yo is not an adult. if they say they cannot tell they are lying because they are a creep.
- I was listening to this album with my sons in the car and I realized it was not my best parenting moment.
- Reposted by Chris PIt’s really weird for some corners of the media to do a whole “the Epstein files are a moral panic that has gone too far” thing when no one has faced any sort of punishment and doesn’t sound like they’re going to.
- No new pictures, where are you mentally

- Reposted by Chris PYou don’t understand. Cryptocurrency is the future. All it will take is everyone agreeing to this and if that doesn’t happen? Okay hold on

- I’m listening to the Sinners score while writing a report and things are getting real fucking tense in my office.
- Reposted by Chris PIt is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.

- It’s true, there was once a time when I was cute.
- Every layer of this makes me feel like I’m going to lose my goddamn mind.
- Reposted by Chris PWhile reporting this, I had something happen that's never happened. A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot. I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.
- Epstein had many known connections to Silicon Valley CEOs, but less known was how he made money from those relationships. We did a deep dive into how he got dealflow in Silicon Valley, giving him shots to invest in Coinbase, Palantir, SpaceX and other companies. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/05/b...
- Reposted by Chris PWhat is being communicated here is elite barbarism. That no one, especially the powerful, has any obligation to their fellow human; that the elite are right to take advantage of that by predating on you one way or another, and that no one with any power to enforce the law is coming to save you.
- Reposted by Chris PThis is what I meant by saying the wheels were going to come off of any pretension of having a society. The propagandists to the powerful are saying to others in power (who are the audience), but openly where the rest of us can see them say it, that pedophile sex trafficking is good and normal now.
- (Reposted with alt text). “This is how men behave” is so telling. Every creep thinks every other man is a creep, or wannabe creep. We need to be even more vocal saying this is wrong. It’s dangerous. It’s deviant.
- Yale prof David Gelernter defends his letter urging Epstein to hire "v small goodlooking blonde" student by saying that he was "keep[ing] the potential boss's habits in mind." This creep shouldn't be allowed anywhere near students. yaledailynews.com/articles/gel...
- Reposted by Chris PEpisode 49: The Millionaire Next Door In 1996, two marketing professors revealed the characteristics of America's new elite class: They buy the right kind of watch, marry the right kind of wife and were born the right kind of white.
- Very important context that Brodie King (the one with all the tattoos) is very vocally anti-ICE and has had Abolish ICE merch available for like a year.
- Amazing. If a professional wrestling crowd is chanting "fuck ICE," it suggests to me that large swaths of the culture are not just upset over ICE tactics, they're coalescing against mass deportations as a broader ideological project. newrepublic.com/article/2060...

- Besides Chris Kluwe, who is currently running, are there any elected Democrats who are former pro athletes? I can’t think of any.
- It’s interesting there are so many more right wing former pro athletes that go into politics than left leaning. Is that because right wingers are more likely to think that being a pro athlete is a qualification for public office?
- I didn’t know Mark Teixeira is MAGA. That stinks.

- Reposted by Chris Pin real terms, #7 would give states leverage to put an end to surges, #8 would give states the ability to outright stop construction of new detention facilities, #1 and #6 would slow the rate at which DHS could train and deploy officers, #2 and #10 would likely shrink the pool of recruits

- Reposted by Chris Pthe number of academics who were in touch with Epstein really puts the (elite) backlash to Title IX's enforcement against sexual violence into perspective.

- Reposted by Chris PNEW: Abigail Spanberger this afternoon ordered that all state agencies leave ICE's 287(g) program. This means that the state police (and some other agencies) will no longer be empowered to detain and arrest people for ICE. Big, big move by the governor within weeks of coming into office.
- Reposted by Chris PI can now report that Judge Blackwell did not grant Julie Le’s request for a nap, and also noted that, as overwhelmed as she may be, the people who the Trump administration is detaining in violation of court orders have it worse ballsandstrikes.org/law-politics...
