Okay, in LATE HOMEWORK, I saw a 5 when no one else did (still don't see a 7). Here's my explanation:
The "font" rule for the numbers is: if the numbers are the black parts, then also the 1 establishes a serif font style. If you trace the black lines, and only look at the black lines, its a 5.
The 3, 1, and 8 do not establish that the thick black lines get chunked out by white (like what you'd get if you pressed hard on a traditional nib pen) so why would that suddenly apply for a 7? If that were true, the 8 would be:
