- whenever I come across explicit differences in Japan grammar like this where it's explicitly changed between men and women, it makes me wonder about the equivalent in English... hard to objectively assess that from the inside but I think we have equivalents? fun to think about

- Linguistically this would be called a "register" (or possibly a sociolect) rather than a "grammar" but there's a legitimate argument to be made that the formalisation of a register could give rise to a grammar. Not sure if that's the case in Japanese but a language historian would know.
- it's weird how i've run into a lot of graphics people in games who are simultaneously anti-genAI for visual assets &c. but totally ok with so-called "vibe coding" like people only consider it unethical if it's for stuff that they themselves can do (& thus consider valuable)
