one of the things I'm really excited about this semester is having my intro to poetics class do a group recitation of Bishop's "The Moose"

"The Moose" is a poem about how a group of people become a community when they pay careful, even loving, attention to each other in all their ordinariness and are then able to encounter something extraordinary together and this is what should happen in the classroom too
