- Striking capture. I believe you are striding alongside some of the great Magnum photographers—Robert Capa and Henri Cartier Bresson. I would add Vivian Maier, as well. Well done, Joelle!

- I absolutely love you photos - black and white holds character that a color photo never can. My aunt photographed District Six in Cape Town before its destruction and your photographs carry the same emotion and tell their stories without words needed. Thanks for the follow!
- Today is the opening of my installation ‘Entre domingo y domingo,’ which brings my first book to life. In this book, every other poem is a Sunday poem. I printed Sunday poems on t-shirts + other poems on collared shirts, visualizing the iconography of tworkday vs weekend. Pls join us from 11-14.

- This week’s Substack is with Liliana Farber. We discuss the illusion of objectivity in cartographic images, the real ecological and political costs of “immaterial” infrastructures like the cloud, and fictional servers on flagless boats. Enjoy. danielleezzo.substack.com/p/phantom-is...

- The city is dense; you'll never see every corner. The photo for now marks where I need to return: Saint-Étienne-du-Mont Church. We passed Hemingway’s first apartment. He lived here in the 1920s, newly married, newly poor, carrying stories in his pockets. joellemctigue.substack.com/p/tracing-sh...
- Thanks for posting this image. At the moment, I’m reading the Garden of Eden by Hemingway.

- Absolutely gorgeous! The Wicklow Mountains are stunning 😍⛰️
- Thank you for the follow, Joelle. Your work is impressive, as is the Hemingway story. Coincidentally, I happen to share a common ancestor with him (my g9 great grandfather).

- @joellemctigue.bsky.social Your bio mentioned the Caribbean. We fell in love with Barbados. We enjoyed the food, the ocean beaches, the people, and the breezes. We wintered there for 13 weeks over 3 different years. You can find my wife at the end of the floating dock, waiting for her champagne.
- Wonderful photos, particularly the dock. Barbados is such a beautiful and culturally warm place. It's great you had the chance to spend a decent amount of time on island.
- Thanks, Joelle. My wife and I enjoy traveling, photography, dancing, fine dining, and walking. Here we are in Montreal, attending Expo '67. Our 57th anni is in a few weeks!
