It is beyond dangerous for any public official—let alone a sitting President—to suggest that political violence is ever okay. As someone who was the target of an assassination attempt himself, Donald Trump should know better.
Nov 20, 2025 19:46Our country desperately needs leaders willing to lead by example and tamp down violent rhetoric. Every day, we see Republican and Democratic state officials, and law enforcement and military leaders, doing just that. We should expect no less of our president.
