- Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue
- OK. LOL. DM me as soon as possible.
- Hmmm. I wonder if they are offering audio books made with AI for indie authors. I have a wonderful UK actor narrating my three novels set in Norway during WWII. I gladly support him in any of his work. It's get working with a real human.
- Well done.
- Does your Kestrel have blue on it? Ours in the Pacific NW does.
- It's always good to see what's going in other parts of the world. I don't think our media is talking about this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7tw...
- The fun part is going to Snohomish, WA and walk around where the series was filmed. There's a map, too.
- Congrats to all the finalists. I"m happy to see Helena P. Schrader's excellent series of historical novels on the list.
- My husband played pool with the group when they were in Honolulu/Waikiki back in 1970. We lived around the corner.
- Would a Red Green fan count?
- It's a travesty. This building is a memorial to the fallen president who brought art back into the conversation. What's next? Flashing TRUMP lights on the Washington Monument?
- So happy my essay about my 6th grade teacher has made it this far.
- Yes, there is a contest for non-fiction covers.
- It's wonderful seeing collections and anthologies recognized. Being part of an anthology was one of the ways that I first got published. Good luck to everyone.
- I'll just put it here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jch1...
- I still don't think I've heard his music, but I'm all for him being at the Super Bowl. I thought he was absolutely hysterical on SNL as the K Pop Demon Hunters fan.
- I think I know which scene. I read the book years ago. Then saw the movie in the theater.
- Last night we streamed “The Name of the Rose” (which @maeviuslynn.bsky.social had not seen before) only to discover that Amazon’s version censors about 4 minues from the film, including a brief but significant scene. Wishing I had popped in the BluRay instead.
- Is that gold vomit behind them?
- Uthred !
- I don't watch horror movies, but I did get the courage to go to the theater to see Sinners and I'm so glad I did. (Fingers over my eyes)
- When Trump said he loved the Gilded Age, he meant it. No power to the people.
- You don’t hire for supporting Trumps agenda. You hire to support the laws of our Constitution and country.
- I should, too. I still crack up with the huge family portrait shown at the beginning when they are kicked out of their mansion: It looks so much like the Trump photo with Melania in a flowing pink dress with Trump and Barron on a lion.
- Oh, no. What happened? I've loved all her work. Shitt's Creek was hysterical.
- I still feel for the teacher, the first to go up. Scobee was from WA state.
- #blueskywriters Here's a nice breakdown of chapter endings. I think in my last two novels I've figured it out to readers' satisfaction. @chantireviews.com www.chantireviews.com/2026/01/20/b...
- Wow. are tickets hard to get? typing with one hand as dog is in my lap.
- Where is taking place? It sounds awesome.

- We need video on that, too.
- What does this mean for we who this policy?
- Well played.
- En francais?
- Congrats. I’m proud of mine.
- From what I understand is that the stadium would never have been built if (I think Paul Allen) wasn’t convinced that altering the layout for a soccer field. I always thought a brilliant idea. Soccer was growing a big sport I our region. The funds came through.
- Who owns this facility? Who is making money from this?
- Growing up in the 1950s, L'l Abner was a popular comic. It always made fun of Lower Slobovia, a fictional Eastern Bloc country. I think this administration is making us into Lower Slobovia.
- I love that description and detective, sleuther. I think I found the right contact for a historian who has written on a subject I'm writing about.
- I'm so glad I saw it in the theater. Just in cinematography alone it deserves an Oscar. It's still a scary movie for me, but I went. With fingers over my eyes, I might watch it again.
- I couldn't watch the last few minutes. Did we win? Some student set off a firework. I"m hoping for the Seahawks.
- A dog's love of snow no matter the breed always makes me smile. Too funny, sometimes.
- Everyone who watches British Crime shows knows that you ALWAYS secure a crime scene. You don't run off with evidence, always handle with gloves, etc. Vera and Jimmy Perez would be appalled. We're appalled with the lies.
- Ah, little Kyle.
- The woman next to Noem looks ill.
- I'm sure it's some a type of cat ballet, position #3?
- So it turns it out the man killed was a nurse. The Feds are preventing local police to investigate and stole the gun from Alex as evidence after he was down and shot. Who shoots someone 10 times?
- Sad, sad day. I'm speechless at the decline of my country.
- Pure evil.
- they went to an emergency room seeking help for their 7 year old child. ICE arrested the 7 year old and her parents. the family is here legally. www.oregonlive.com/portland/202...
