framing the value of junior engineers as some sort of net loss in any regard is just gross
i also just disagree with it because you don’t have to be particularly woke to find measures by which hiring juniors dramatically increases your organizational productivity!
congrats you now have strong incentives to maintain good documentation, free up senior time outside of meetings so they can pair with new hires to accelerate their productive output, and more clearly specify ticketed work so that it contains less uncertainty.
