- With dual appointments in @hopkinsengineer.bsky.social and @hopkinsmedicine.bsky.social, Xia’s research investigates how to control chemical synthesis in order to develop nanomaterials for applications ranging from medicine to electronics and energy conversion.
- “It’s crucial to talk to people in the biomedical field who have firsthand information about the problems or gaps that exist in order to be able to develop materials to help solve them and address critical needs in health care," Xia says.
- Xia hopes the proximity to the Johns Hopkins Hospital will allow him to connect with new collaborators and push his interdisciplinary research forward.
