- Ask any current or former Californian whether an increasing number of ballot questions is good. I agree with everyone saying this is an indictment of the MA legislature. We need legislators to be able to pass popular legislation again.

- The particulars always matter, but when I find myself ambivalent about a ballot q or state leg. race, I vote No on ballot questions and in favor of challengers, to discourage proliferation of the former and encourage it of the latter. More electoral competition and more legislating please.
