  • Prairie verbena (Verbenaceae: Verbena bipinnatifida) is native to open grassy areas from the Great Plains to Central America. Since it's drought-tolerant and attractive to pollinators, it's sometimes grown as an ornamental. Big Bend National Park, Texas, 10 Feb 2014.
