- Google Scholar has been AI-ified. You still get direct links to articles ✅ You get a brief summary of article results, which seem accurate ✅ Scholar doesn't try to answer your query directly, only presents evidence ✅ Scholar decides what articles to return ⚠️ scholar.google.com/scholar_labs...
- I feel very strongly that tables and figures should be put *within the manuscript* until it's ready for publication. Saves endless scrolling by the reviewer. I would be more likely to review for journals who promise this. Willing to die on this hill.

- I've started to lose trust in research from certain places - trial results always seem too perfect. Every outcome is p<0.0001, recruitment is fast... Is it just me?

- AI is changing fast - so how might it affect life with aphasia? I covered some possibilities in an #aphasia-friendly talk to members of the National Aphasia Association 🇺🇸 Bryn Bowles, who lives with aphasia, also spoke about how she uses AI in daily life. #aphasia www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru9t...

- We know communication partner training is extremely important for carers of people w #aphasia, but what about other interventions? Our PhD candidate @nelsonjslp.bsky.social conducted a review. There are lots of promising approaches! Most with exploratory evidence only. doi.org/10.1080/0963...

- People with milder #aphasia are often discharged early from rehabilitation as they are perceived to be “recovered.” And yet - they experience frustrating language difficulties, reduced confidence, and difficulty keeping up in conversations and returning to work. 1/5

- If someone leaves the house and then comes back in because they forgot something, it IS funny every single time to ask them how their work/school/outing was.

- I love how journals set up a username and password and THEN ask you to peer review - it's equivalent to "Oh we've arranged your desk, computer and swipecard for our office. Want to come and work on this project?"
