wow, same. I turned to it after exhausting the library's collection of Tom Swift books, which were charmingly dated *at the time* and are just relics at this point.
Seriously. In college in the 1990s, I discovered a weird half-floor of the campus library that had the Tom Swift Sr. books, which were 1910s-1920s and those were even more relics than my dad's old Tom Swift Jr. books. (I was hunting down "The Mouse That Roared," which was shelved as a kids book.)
